We will travel to pick up a rescue bird when the need of our services are there. We do NOT charge for our services, however donations are always a great help when it comes to gas, toys, food and housing costs. We never solicit our families for a donation nor do we refuse a pick up or drop off.

Pick ups that are local can be done within 24 hours time. If you live outside of a 30 mile radius a pick up may have to be scheduled as we are required to find someone to cover our places to care for the birds.

We do have transport cages for pick ups as they are smaller and much safer for the birds involved. Larger birds will be transported in carriers that are normally used for cats/dogs. All rescues will be provided with a water bottle, minimal food (to prevent stomach upset) and a toy. The rescues will be covered in the car as it minimizes any frights that may occur during transport.

For a pick up please call (574) 259-1150 and speak to Cynthia. If you get the machine, please leave us a detailed message and we shall return your call as soon as possible. We are probably out on a run.

The following are items we are always in need of as these items usually run out quickly or we simply do not have the necessary resources to provide each bird with one. . .

• Cages - all sizes and shapes.
• Cuttlebones
• Water and Food Dishes
• Toys for all sizes of Birds
• Misting bottles (for bathing our birds on a weekly basis)
• Perches
• Cable Ties of all sizes

We do not accept the following items as they are harmful to birds. . .

• Any small chains on toys (as they can get stuck in them)
• Sandpaper perch covers (they rub the skin off of the birds feet)
• Ornamental Cages (they are not suitable for a bird to live in)
• any treats that contain avacado, chocolate, or other harmful ingredients
